In my capacity as Justice of the Peace, I am happy to officiate at weddings anywhere in Eastern Massachusetts. I will perform any form of wedding you desire, including Modern, Religious, Traditional, and Same-sex. I also can provide suggested readings for friends and family members. My signature trademark is that I like to end the ceremonies with a special blessing: the Apache Wedding Blessing. JUSTICE OF THE PEACE INFORMATION:

Effective October 12, 2002 the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has raised the fee for solemnizing marriages as follows:

Inside my home town of Westwood:  $75.00.

Outside of Westwood:        $125.00, plus parking, if necessary.

Deposit: 50%

Attendance at Rehearsal: $60.00 ( $30.00 for every additional half-hour).

Time Frames:

Blood tests are no longer required, effective January 28, 2005.

Marriage License is good for 60 days, i.e., ceremony must take place within 60 days after filing of intention to marry, otherwise marriage license is void.

After the ceremony, II will usually file the Marriage Certificate with the Town Clerk within 1-2 weeks of the ceremony. I am forbidden by state law from providing a copy of the completed license to the couple after the ceremony. Please let me know in advance if there is an immediate need for a certified copy, as arrangements can be made for sending the Certificate overnight to the appropriate town hall.

1. Marriage licenses may be obtained at any town hall in Massachusetts regardless of where the wedding ceremony is going to be performed.

2. The filing fee for intention to marry is $30.00

Ceremonies: I am happy to accommodate couples with their choice of ceremonies. Couples may, if they wish, write their own vows, and even their own ceremonies. It is their day, their wedding. My function is to officially pronounce their marriage, and I will do all I can to make the occasion as special as I can.
